First step:
you need to use Firefox or Flock browser, you can download and install (if you haven’t it) here
Second step:
if you want to translate a word in just a minute configure your prefered translation engine from here:

for example if you need usually to translate italian word to english go at line
Google Translate it->en (translate.google.com) by Angelo ConfortiĀ [Review]
and click on the name (for example on “Google Translate it->en”)
or if you need to translate from english to italian
Google Translate en->it (translate.google.com) by by Angelo ConfortiĀ [Review]
and click on the name (for example on “Google Translate en->it”)
There are many other “search engine” for almost any language.
When you click on it you create a little configuration on the browser that allow you to insert the word, or the phrase, to translate on the upper box on the right side of Firefox and (if is not the default) selecting Google Translate IT to EN from the select box and pressing enter, you can see the translated text on the screen!
Very easy (when you have configured it), very fast (just a click), very free!!!
